LoL Player Search

LoL player search means finding a player's public profile with their Riot ID. On RankupGG you type the full Riot ID in the GameName#TAG format and pick a region; the profile opens from public Riot data. Previously scanned profiles show up as cached suggestions, but there is no invented autocomplete — opening a profile requires a real, complete Riot ID. No step ever asks for a Riot login.

What RankupGG looks at

Every finding below is computed from public Riot match and timeline data. You pick the game and start the analysis yourself; the AI coach only explains the deterministic evidence — it never invents events.

The Riot ID format

Players are found by Riot ID now: GameName#TAG, for example "Player#NA1". An old summoner name alone is not enough; you need both the name and the tag to open the right profile.

Region selection

You pick the platform region before searching (for example NA, EUW, TR). The same Riot ID can belong to different accounts in different regions, so the right region matters.

Public profiles

When a profile opens, its rank, recent matches, KDA, CS, vision, and objective data load. All of it is public Riot data; nothing private is ever read.

Cached suggestions and full-ID lookup

Previously scanned profiles appear as fast suggestions from the cache. If a player is not cached, typing their full Riot ID searches Riot directly — no fake suggestions or guessed results are shown.

Frequently asked questions

How do I search for a player?

Pick the region and type the player's full Riot ID in the GameName#TAG format. The profile opens from public Riot data and loads together with their recent matches.

Can I search with just a summoner name?

Riot now identifies players by Riot ID, so the tag is required alongside the name. An old summoner name alone usually cannot resolve to a single profile.

Why doesn't autocomplete show every player?

Suggestions come only from profiles that were scanned and cached before; we never show an invented player list. For anyone not in the cache, typing their full Riot ID is all it takes.

Do I need to sign in to search players?

No. Player search and profile viewing are open to everyone, and no Riot login is ever required.
